The scholarship will help students at the University of Kent
A scholarship in memory of a Sussex woman who died in a road accident on the M2 has been unveiled.

Sasha Roberts, 40, died when her Nissan Micra car was in an accident involving a lorry between Sittingbourne and Faversham in Kent in September 2006.

Her five-year-old son Lio presented a £2,500 scholarship to a German exchange student at the University of Kent on Tuesday where she worked.

The fund has been collected by people in Lewes and at the university.

The scholarship will go towards the exchange student's English studies.

Ms Roberts' husband Martin Spinelli hopes the award will continue to help people for years to come.

Lio Spinelli, who will present the scholarship, had a badly broken leg and was in a coma after the accident.

His father said he was now back at school and able to live a normal life.
