East Anglia's main commuter services use Liverpool Street station
|
One of London's main rail stations used by travellers and commuters from East Anglia is to close over Christmas for major engineering works.
No trains will run to Liverpool Street from 23 December to 1 January affecting Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex services.
Coaches will carry passengers between Colchester and London.
Network Rail apologised to passengers but said this was the best time to carry out engineering work while affecting the fewest number of people.
