Student denies murdering doctor

A student has denied murdering a paediatrician who was found stabbed to death in her car on the driveway of her home in north Kent.

David Quartey, 21, of Humber Road, Dartford, pleaded not guilty to the charge at Maidstone Crown Court.

The body of Dr Victoria Anyetei was found by her son outside her home in Teynham Road, Dartford, on 14 August.

The 54-year-old divorcee worked at St Thomas's Hospital in London. A trial date has been set for 14 July.

Dr Anyetei moved to England from Ghana in 1996, and had lived in Dartford for eight years.
