Woman badly hurt as car flees pub
A 22-year-old woman was badly injured when she was hit by a car as it left a pub car park, police said.

The grey Chevrolet Kalos car also hit a male bystander and another car as it left the Fordham Arms in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, late on Saturday night.

Two men were told to leave the pub by the landlord who was assaulted. A pub window was smashed and a car damaged, a police spokeswoman said.

They left the scene in an 07 registered car, later stopped in the village.

A 19-year-old youth and a 27-year-old man, both from Rushden in Northants, were arrested.

The bystander received minor injuries but the car hit the woman, who was thrown onto the road.

She is now being treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge for head and back injuries.

The arrested men are being held at Greyfriars police station in Bedford.
