Teachers guilty of school fraud
Teachers who conspired to defraud a special school in Hampshire will be sentenced later this month.

Headteacher Keith Davis, 50, of Cremyll Street, Plymouth, had denied conspiracy to commit fraud involving about £90,000 at Sundridge School in Waterlooville.

He was found guilty at Portsmouth Crown Court.

Deputy head Simon Hann, 41, of Church Road, Chichester, admitted conspiracy to defraud at an earlier hearing. They will be sentenced on 22 November.

Davis was cleared of acting to pervert the course of justice by a Portsmouth Crown Court jury.

The court heard Davis made relatively small claims over five years.

A mortgage, mobile phone and petrol bills were all allegedly paid for by the school.

The school caters for about 30 boys aged between 11 and 15 with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
