Motorbike crash victim identified
A 39-year-old motorcyclist who died in hospital after a road crash in Surrey has been identified.

Simon Channon, of Alton, Hampshire, collided with a car on the A31 at Farnham, at the Coxbridge roundabout, at about 1250 BST on Sunday.

He was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford where he later died. The driver of the car was treated for shock.

An inquest into Mr Channon's death was opened and adjourned on Tuesday.

A police spokesman appealed for anyone with information to contact the collision investigation unit.
