Aircraft damage is investigated
Police are investigating possible criminal damage to an aircraft at Bristol Airport.

Officers were called to an Air France aircraft on Wednesday morning after concerns were raised that the seal of a door had been tampered with.

A spokesman for the airport said that there had been no breach of security and that police were investigating.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman added: "Officers searched the aircraft and found it to be safe."

A dog trained to sniff out explosives was used in the search.

"A case of criminal damage was reported by the plane's captain and we are investigating," the spokesman said.

"There is no suggestion that security has been breached."

Air France declined to comment.
