Convicts escape jail with ladder
Two convicted thieves have escaped from prison by scaling a fence with a homemade ladder.

Aaron Clelland, 31, from Leicestershire and Terry Lunnon, 29, from Berkshire, escaped from HMP Onley, near Rugby, Warwickshire, on Tuesday morning.

Police believe the men escaped in a getaway vehicle waiting outside the prison, on the Northants border.

A prison spokeswoman said an inquiry is under way and she would not disclose how the ladder was made.

Clelland was jailed for burglary in October last year and Lunnon for robbery in July last year.
