Cash stolen in security van raid
Several thousand pounds have been stolen in a robbery at a Surrey petrol station in which a female security guard was attacked.

Surrey Police said the woman was delivering money for the cash machine at the BP Service Station in Alfold, when she was grabbed and threatened.

The man, who was not armed, grabbed three cash canisters on Thursday and made off in a car, officers said.

He drove away at speed towards Sussex. The vehicle has still not been found.

Det Con Kevin Ford said the woman was shaken but not injured.

Appealing for witnesses, he said the offender left in a maroon Ford Focus car with a registration number similar to DV03 ABN, which possibly had a second person on board.

The vehicle drove away on the A281 after the incident at about 1130 BST.

The offender was described as black, aged in his 20s, and wearing a grey hoodie.
