M25 delays for second day in row
Queuing traffic on the M25
Traffic was queuing for 15 miles back into Kent on Friday
Major delays have affected the clockwise carriageway of the M25 for the second day in a row.

Police closed two lanes of the motorway between junctions four and five after a lorry burst into flames on Saturday.

A spokesman for the Highways Agency said all lanes on the motorway had reopened by 1000 BST.

On Friday, a four-vehicle crash in Surrey closed a large section of the motorway for 10 hours. Tailbacks stretched back for 15 miles into Kent.

The closure led to severe delays for motorists heading for Gatwick Airport via the M23.

Plasterboard debris

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious chest injuries following the accident at 0730 BST on Friday.

The pile-up between Godstone and the M23 turn-off involved two lorries, a van and a car.

Fire teams said 30 tons of plasterboard was strewn across the carriageway.

One lorry ended up lying across two lanes of the carriageway.
