Two held over taxi driver's death
Two people have been arrested by police investigating the death of a taxi driver near Doncaster.

Parvez Akhtar, 49, from Bradford, was found collapsed on Ruskin Drive in Armthorpe early on Sunday near his cab which was parked in Tennyson Avenue.

He died later in hospital, a South Yorkshire Police spokesman said.

A 19-year-old woman and 22-year-old man, both from Doncaster, were arrested in connection with the death and have been bailed pending further inquiries.

A post-mortem examination was carried out on Monday but police said the results were not being released "for investigative purposes".

A spokesman for the South Yorkshire force said: "Officers believe people may have been in the area at the time.

"We are appealing for anyone who was in or around Ruskin Drive or Tennyson Avenue at 0530 on Sunday and who has information about the incident to get in touch."
