Kate Beagley was stabbed to death, police have said

A woman from Surrey found murdered in woods in Hertfordshire died from multiple stab wounds to the neck, a post-mortem examination has concluded.

Kate Beagley's body was found on Monday morning at Oxhey Woods, near Watford.

The 32-year-old, from Walton-on-Thames, disappeared after going on a date in London a week ago.

Karl Joseph Taylor, 27, from Covent Garden, London, has been charged with her murder and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 11 September.

Surrey Police said formal identification of the body had been delayed to allow for dental records to be checked.

The sales manager was reported missing by her father last Thursday.

Miss Beagley's family have spoken of her as a "loving, loyal and tremendously popular" woman.
