Second woman dies after A27 crash
A van and a car involved in the crash
A total of four vehicles were involved in the fatal accident
A second person has died after an accident in East Sussex involving three cars and a van.

Police said a 22-year-old woman from Cirencester, Gloucestershire, had died of her injuries following the crash on Tuesday lunchtime.

The Brighton University student was driving a Renault Clio on the A27 at Selmeston. A 20-year-old woman in a Fiat Seicento was also killed.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries.

He was driving a Ford Transit Luton van involved in the accident, and suffered minor injuries.

Airlifted to hospital

The man, from Worthing, West Sussex, was questioned in connection with causing death by dangerous driving.

A 38-year-old male passenger in the van was also slightly injured.

Sussex Police said the second victim died at Eastbourne District General Hospital on Wednesday.

She had been airlifted there suffering serious injuries.

The Seicento passenger who died at the scene was from Bexhill, East Sussex.

Three other people suffered minor injuries - a 22-year-old male passenger in the Renault Clio and the male drivers of the Seicento and a BMW.
