Man bailed in 1996 murder inquiry
Russell Marsom
Mr Marsom's partially clothed body was found in a ditch
A man has been released on bail after questioning about the murder of a hairdresser whose body was found in a ditch 11 years ago.

Russell Marsom, who was 29 and from Hunstanton in Norfolk, left his home on 30 March 1996 to go to a nightclub.

His partially-clothed body was found at Milton, near Cambridge, the next day by a man walking his dog. Post-mortem tests showed he had drowned.

Police said a 34-year-old man had been released on bail until 17 May.

Det Insp Nick Hunt said: "This investigation is very much open and work is still being done in an attempt to establish how Russell died.

"The post-mortem concluded he drowned, but we do not know how he came to be in the water-filled ditch in Milton in the first place."
