Two seriously hurt in bike crash
Two people are in hospital with broken pelvises after the motorbike they were riding collided with a car.

The crash happened on Etherley Road in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, when a car crossing the carriageway collided with a Honda VTR 1000cc bike.

The 53-year-old male motorcycle rider and his 39-year-old female pillion were taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital on Sunday afternoon.

A Durham Police spokesman said the road was closed for two hours.
