New lead in hunt for missing man
Luke Durbin
Luke Durbin was last seen leaving an Ipswich nightclub
Police searching for a teenager who went missing last year are following up new potential leads after reported sightings of him in London.

Luke Durbin, 19, from Hollesley, Suffolk, vanished after leaving Zest nightclub in Ipswich on 12 May.

Despite police and family appeals, Mr Durbin has not been traced.

Suffolk Police said they had received a call from someone who had been at school with Mr Durbin who said they had seen him in central London on 3 March.

'Credible witness'

The sighting had been late at night, outside the Aldwych Theatre on Drury Lane.

Police have since travelled to London to make enquiries and have left posters in businesses and hostels.

Acting Det Insp Ian Addison said: "The person who contacted us knew Luke at school and while we can't be 100% sure this was Luke, this is a credible witness with new information.

Officers said they had pursued hundreds of lines of enquiry, but there was still no firm evidence of what occurred after Mr Durbin left the Ipswich nightclub.

Anyone who may have spoken to him or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact officers.
