Crash death woman's name released
Northumbria Police have released the name of a 64-year-old female driver from County Durham who was killed in a collision on Tyneside.

Maureen Waites, of Wellfield Road North, Wingate, in Durham, died in the incident on the A696 Wolsington bypass, near Newcastle, on Sunday night.

A 19-year-old woman, who was driving a VW Golf, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She was later released on bail pending further inquiries.
