Plans for wind farm go on display
People are being given a chance to see for themselves plans for a 10-turbine wind farm.

E.ON UK, which runs Powergen, wants to build the development at Butterwick, in County Durham.

It is next to a site where plans for a seven-turbine wind farm have already been approved, north of the A689 and east of Sedgefield.

Three public exhibitions are being held, in Fishburn, Trimdon and Sedgefield, over the next three days.

The exhibitions are at Fishburn Community Centre and Trimdon Village Hall on Wednesday and at Sedgefield Parish Hall on Thursday and Friday.

The company said the scheme could generate enough electricity to meet the demands of 8,500 households.
