Bollywood bidders begin planning
Aishwarya Rai
Stars such as Aishwarya Rai are likely to attend
Organisers of next year's so-called "Bollywood Oscars" in Yorkshire are putting together plans for the event after winning the right to host it.

The region beat off global competition for the right to host the International Indian Film Academy Awards 2007.

Planners hope to stage the award ceremony, at Sheffield's Hallam Arena, with other events planned across Leeds, Bradford, York and Hull.

Some of the biggest stars of Indian cinema are expected to attend.

The success of the Yorkshire Tourist Board's bid, called "Yorkshire - love at first sight", is expected to attract more than 28,000 visitors.
