Craig Foreman was reported missing in October
The badly decomposed body of man found in a roadside ditch in County Durham has been identified.

Craig Foreman, 20, went missing from his home in Medomsley on 26 October last year.

His body was found by a man walking alongside the B6310, near Shotley Bridge, on Monday morning.

Durham Police say the body - which was covered by dense undergrowth - may have been there "for some time".

Detective Chief Inspector Ron Vine said that at the time of his disappearance, Mr Foreman was reported as being vulnerable and depressed.

A post-mortem examination was held at the University Hospital of North Durham on Monday night.

Toxicology tests are being carried out to establish the cause of death, but police say they are not treating it as suspicious.
