Man in court over student's murder

Student Suvi Aronen suffered extensive injuries
A 33-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a Finnish student found battered to death in east London.

The body of Suvi Aronen, 23, was discovered on Friday in undergrowth next to a footpath by the A12 in Wanstead.

She had been seriously sexually assaulted.

Unemployed Jason Dockrill, from Stratford, in east London, appeared before magistrates at Redbridge, also in east London, on Tuesday.

He has been charged with three further offences said to have taken place in Wanstead on Thursday.

He is accused of the assault and attempted robbery of a 44-year-old woman, assaulting an 80-year-old woman and robbing a 56-year-old woman.

He has been remanded in custody until 1 April.
