Film fans turn to fencing

Bond fans are keen to try out the sport
Hollywood blockbusters have led to a revival in one of the oldest Olympic disciplines, a sports club has claimed.

The Cambridgeshire Fencing Association says so many people want to take up the sport that clubs in the county are having to turn away new members.

It believes fencing scenes in films like Die Another Day and The Mask of Zorro have sparked new interest in the sport.

The Huntingdonshire club, which meets in St Neots, has 40 members and a waiting list for its next beginners' course in September.

The association tells prospective members they will need good concentration - and an aggressive streak.
