Man beaten in racist attack
A white teenager has been injured in an attack which police believe was racially motivated.

The 19-year-old victim was beaten up by a group of 12 Asian men in Redditch town centre.

He was sitting outside Drinks World shop, on Unicorn Hill, at 1930 GMT on Tuesday, when he was approached by the men.

They pushed him to the floor and punched, kicked and stamped on him.

He was taken to the Alexandra Hospital where he was treated for cuts and bruises and was discharged soon after.

Police are treating the incident as a racially-aggravated assault.

Officers at Redditch police station are studying CCTV footage and are appealing for witnesses.
