New home for lifeboat
Happisburgh
Happisburgh's coast has been severely eroded
Work has begun on a new temporary lifeboat station for the village of Happisburgh.

The previous launch ramp was lost at the beginning of the year due to severe coastal erosion.

The lack of proper launching facilities led to a precarious situation for crew members and the public.

In January, the crew had to climb down a cliff and into the water to rescue a woman who had fallen 30 feet into the sea.

The new ramp at nearby Cart Gap should be ready by mid-March.
