Headmaster faces sex assault charges
Court graphic
A former prep school headmaster appeared before magistrates on Monday charged with indecently assaulting boys in the 1960s.

Roland Wright, 72, ex-head of Caldicott School at Farnham Royal, Buckinghamshire, faced four charges at the court in High Wycombe.

The offences are alleged to have been committed between 1961 and 1969 and involved four separate boys.

The first charge of indecent assault relates to a boy aged 13 at the time of the alleged offence; the second to a boy aged between 11 and 12; the third to a boy of 12; and the final charge to another 13-year-old.

Mr Wright, of Crown Lane, Farnham Royal, was bailed to reappear before the court on 9 April.

He retired from the school in 1993.
