New service will offer support to people
A new partnership to tackle flood emergencies in Lincolnshire has been officially formed.

The Environment Agency, local authorities, the emergency services, utility services, and BBC Radio Lincolnshire have joined together to form the Lincolnshire Flood Action Partnership.

It has been launched at the Embassy Centre in Skegness.

It is part of a special flood exhibition which is taking place.

Flood risk

Andy Baxindale, Environment Agency's Area Flood Defence Manager said: "In the heat of the moment when there is a lot of water about it is easy for people to get passed from one authority to another.

"This is a process of continual improvement and the partners are committing themselves to doing all they can to work closer together.

"So when floods come to Lincolnshire we can perform the best service for the people in the flood risk area."
