Vicar charged over child porn
Operation Ore is an international hunt for paedophiles
A vicar has been charged with alleged child pornography offences.
Reverend John Masters, 40, was arrested as part of the Operation Ore investigation over alleged internet paedophiles. He has been charged with four counts of possessing photographs of children and a further four counts of making indecent images of children. Mr Masters, who lives in Southampton and is divorced with a son and daughter, was the priest at St John the Evangelist Church in Newbury until last October. He had also been on the board of governors at both Yattendon and Hampstead Norreys primary schools during his time as rector. Mr Masters is due to appear before West Berkshire Magistrates' Court, in Newbury, next Wednesday.
