Man killed in frenzied knife attack
Victim David Sheehan
David Sheehan was found dead on Thursday
A man has been killed in a "savage and prolonged attack" in which the victim suffered more than 40 stab wounds and had his throat slashed.

Police are appealing for information after the frenzied knife attack on David Sheehan, 35, in Ealing, west London.

His body was found in a flat in the early hours of Thursday.

Two men were interviewed by police after separate arrests on Thursday and Friday, but were released from custody with no further action.

DCI Colin Sutton of the Metropolitan Police's Serious Crime Group West, said: "This appears to be a savage and prolonged attack.

"If you were in the Elthorne Park section of the Boston Road late night on Thursday, or know anything about how or why David may have been murdered so brutally, please contact police."
