Lab protesters target wrong man
Animal rights demonstration outside Huntingdon research lab
Animal rights protesters have long targeted HLS
A Peterborough family claim they are being wrongly targeted by animal rights activists opposed to experiments on animals.

The activists have been protesting outside the headquarters of Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS) for many months, in an attempt to halt experiments there.

But Barry Greenwood says stickers giving his name and address have been found near his home.

And he believes they are mistakenly targeting his family because their home's previous owner had shares in the company.

Residence checks

Mr Greenwood said: "They know where I live. If they are uncertain of this they can come and knock on my door.

"There are ways and means of checking who lives at this address and I don't know why they didn't do this in the first place."

Although no individuals have been identified Mr Greenwood has reported to Cambridgeshire police incidents in which people have been knocking on his door.

Officers say they are now looking into the matter.

Mr Greenwood believes the problem stems from protestors who have obtained the names and addresses of shareholders in the company, but have failed to check if their information is accurate.
