Deputy Prime Minister visits Bradford
Mr Prescott is making his second visit in 12 months
Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott will tour Bradford on Friday to see how a £50m regeneration grant is being spent in the city.
The money was awarded to Bradford Trident Partnership in 2000 as part of the government's New Deal scheme to renovate the areas of Park Lane, Marshfield and West Bowling. Mr Prescott's second visit to Bradford in the past 12 months will take him to Hutson Street Community Centre to view demolition work on the old blocks of flats and the plans for the area's renewal. The MP for Hull East will also meet pupils at Newby Primary School when he opens a £100,000 extension to the beacon school. |
