Missing woman inquiry widens
Police conference
Police are digging deep in the Rachel Moran mystery
Detectives hunting for the missing Hull woman Rachel Moran are looking deeper into her background.

Superintendent Paul Davison says a man was heard asking after Miss Moran in the street, hours before she disappeared on New Year's Eve.

The 21-year-old from Orchard Park disappeared ten days ago.

There is still no indication whether she has been abducted or has gone off of her own free will.

Miss Moran had been in the packed Cavalier Club on Endyke Lane that night with her brother, John.

He made an appeal saying:"At the moment, as a family, we are just about holding together.

"Rachel was in good spirits at the time of her disappearance and we are unaware of her having any problems.

"We are now very fearful for her safety."

Detectives are now asking more questions about her lifestyle, her friends and associates.

And now police in the city are examining CCTV footage at the railway station to see if she may have boarded a train.

Mr Davison told BBC News Online:" We have got about four sightings of her north of Inglemire Lane and Hall Road.

"The thrust of the investigation is to find out if she arrived home or not."
