Hundreds of jobs go at food factory
Faccenda factory
Some Faccenda workers will be able to relocate
Nearly 400 workers at a Northamptonshire factory are to lose their jobs.

The Faccenda factory in Corby supplies chicken products to the food industry.

On Thursday mangers announced it will close down by mid-April.

The firm has other factories in Brackley and Swindon - and some of the 360 workers are being offered the chance to relocate.

General manager Graham Simpson said the company was doing all it could to help employees.

"The number of redundancies we are having to declare means the company will shortly enter into a 90-day consultation period," he said

He promised there would be no compulsory redundancies before mid-April.

The firm had already announced it was axing 175 jobs in November last year.
