Gang convicted after violent robberies
Nokia mobile phones worth more than £7m were stolen
Five men have been convicted of handling more than £7m of stolen goods from a series of violent robberies.
The robberies took place between December 2000 and June 2001, and included a warehouse raid at Heathrow Airport during which two employees were kidnapped and Nokia phones worth more than £7m stolen. The five were convicted at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday on charges of conspiracy to handle stolen goods. Five other men had earlier admitted the charges. Convicted on Wednesday were:
Rajinda Sahota, 32 of Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire; Majinder Dhaliwal, 32, and Anil Sandal, 29, both of Slough, Berkshire; Ajar Acar, 36, of Chelsea, London and Paul Ferry, 39, of Guilford, Surrey all admitted the offences.
