Robber attacks woman with PlayStation
The burglar used a Playstation as a weapon
A 69-year-old woman was hit on the head with a computer game console as she tried to stop her son being attacked by a burglar.
Maureen Palmer, 69, found her 41-year-old son wrestling with the intruder at the family home in Greystoke Road, Slough, Berkshire. Mrs Palmer cried out "nobody hurts my son", but the man hit her over the head with the PlayStation that he had just stolen from the living room. Mrs Palmer's husband, Tony, 70, also tried to stop the burglar by hitting him over the head with a wooden stool, but the man escaped. Mr Palmer said the stool just splintered into pieces: "It didn't affect the burglar at all, he hardly moved an inch." Mrs Palmer suffered an injured eye and forehead and was taken to Wexham Park Hospital, Slough, for treatment.
