Five in hospital after chemical spill
Dangerous chemicals
Two chemicals were mixed, contaminating the men
Five men have been treated in hospital after a chemical spill in Wiltshire.

The men were working at a local factory when two chemicals were accidently mixed, giving off poisonous gases.

The workers, all employees of Calne Engineering, were contaminated with the mixture of caustic soda and trichloroethylene at 1530 GMT on Monday.

They were initially treated at Chippenham Community Hospital, before being moved to Bath's Royal United Hospital.

Six fire crews were called to the scene to give advice, isolate the men's clothing and decontaminate the men using showers.
