New jobs from rural recovery
Countryside
A further 2,300 jobs will be safeguarded by the plans
Plans to create 1,900 jobs in Lancashire have been given government approval.

More than £9m has been set aside for the county's rural recovery programme.

The money will strengthen the recreation and tourism business in the county and help restructure agriculture.

John Moverley, from the Lancashire Rural Partnership, which will implement the plans, said the money was "excellent news".

The project will run for five years.
