Body found in River Cam
Cambridgeshire Police HQ
Cambridgeshire Police says the death is unexplained
The body of a man has been found floating in the River Cam in Cambridge.

The discovery was made on Wednesday morning by a member of the public who alerted police.

The area has been sealed off and a post-mortem examination is expected to take place either on Wednesday afternoon or Monday morning.

The body was found shortly after 1000 GMT floating near the footbridge between Elizabeth Way with Manhattan Way.

Cambridgeshire Police said it was treating the death as unexplained, but is releasing no further details at this stage.

Coroner Mr David Morris has been informed.
