Boy injured by hit-and-run driver
Ambulance
The boy was taken to hospital in Grimsby
A teenager is seriously ill in hospital after being hit by a car in a hit-and-run incident in Grimsby.

The 13-year-old boy was walking along Littlefield Lane on Thursday when a white Vauxhall Cavalier hit him from behind.

The driver of the car did not stop at the scene.

The boy was taken to Diana Princess of Wales Hospital.

A spokeswoman for Humberside Police described the boy's condition in hospital as poorly.

The car was found abandoned in Chelmsford Place a short time later.

A 27-year-old man is helping police with inquiries.
