Bogus care workers examine toddler
E-fit of the women who took part in the incident
One woman posed as a nurse, the other a social worker
Police are hunting three people who posed as care workers to carry out a bogus medical examination on a two-year-old boy.

A man and a woman, who posed as social workers, and another woman, dressed as a nurse, said they were investigating claims of sexual abuse.

They managed to convince the mother to let them into her home on the Berinsfield Estate in South Oxfordshire where they examined her son.

The man is described as being in his late 30s or early 40s with dark hair and was about 5ft 10ins.

Check identity

The first woman was of a similar age with blond hair, about 6 feet tall and wore silver framed spectacles.

The second woman was about 30 and wore a blue nurse's uniform.

Two of them were seen getting out of a blue Ford Mondeo hatchback after the incident on 1 October.

A spokesman from Thames Valley Police said: "If anybody comes to your door claiming to be social workers, please make sure that you check their identity thoroughly.

"If you think they are suspicious in any way then please do not hesitate to contact the police immediately."
