A soldier indecently assaulted three younger women at a barracks, a court martial has been told.

Lance Bombardier Lee Gray, from the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery, has denied seven charges of indecent assault.

The hearing at Colchester Garrison, Essex, is due to reconvene on Tuesday.

It is alleged Gray's victims, also soldiers, were all assaulted at the St John's Wood barracks in London, where the King's Troop is based.

Grabbed hair

On Monday, Major Jason Woodman, prosecuting, said the alleged incidents took place on women aged 20, 21 and 17.

One woman was indecently assaulted three times, twice in December 2001 and once in February this year, the court marshal heard.

She told the hearing Gray, 25, grabbed hold of her hair and arm and pulled her up some stairs into the harness room.

He indecently assaulted her, she claimed.

Another woman said he assaulted her twice, in November and December 2001.

The third alleged victim said she was twice assaulted in December last year.
