New cameras to cut crime
CCTV camera
Businesses have paid for the new cameras
Businesses on an industrial estate on Teesside are hoping a new surveillance system will help prevent crime.

The Cowpen Lane industrial estate in Billingham unveiled its new CCTV cameras on Monday.

The revamp of their previous system was made possible with money contributed by businesses based on the estate and cash from Stockton District Council.

Barry Shaw, the Chief Constable of Cleveland Police, said the technology should prove a useful tool for catching criminals.
