Two men hurt in street shooting
Armed officers attended the scene of the shooting
Two men are in hospital following a shooting in Bradford on Wednesday night.
A 27-year-old local man was hit in the eye and a 26-year-old man in the leg. After the incident, the two men managed to drive themselves to a local hospital. A West Yorkshire police spokeswoman said their injuries were serious but not thought to be life threatening. Forensic search The two men were in a white Toyota when their car was struck by a Red Peugeot on the Leeds Road at about 2210 BST. The occupants of the Toyota were then surrounded by a number of men. During the shooting, both the driver and the passenger of the car sustained their injuries. The two men then drove themselves to hospital. Armed officers attended the scene and a forensic search was made of the area. Police are also investigating an incident at the rear of some houses on Leeds Road where some ammunition was recovered. Later that night, a red Peugeot was found on fire in the Lower Rushton Road. Police are appealing for anyone with information about the shooting to contact Bradford CID.
