Prince to visit vandalised memorial
The prince will also take part in a round table discussion
The Prince of Wales is to attend a service to rededicate a Bradford war memorial which has been repaired after being damaged by vandals.
Prince Charles will be in Cottingley on 30 September for the special service at St Michael and All Angels' Church. The war memorial was vandalised earlier this year. After unveiling a plaque, the prince will go to the parish hall for a round table discussion about the regeneration of the area. Shocking event Vicar of Cottingley the Reverend Sue Pinnington said: "The destruction of the war memorial and its figure of Christ was a shocking event. "But we see the visit of the Prince of Wales as an opportunity to celebrate the life of our community in Cottingley." During his visit to West Yorkshire, Prince Charles will also visit the Inland Revenue offices in Bradford and the Meanwood Valley Urban Farm in Leeds.
