Fresh appeal over fairground fall
The accident happened at Gulliver's World
Police have made a renewed appeal for witnesses after a girl died when she plunged 30 feet from a ferris wheel.
Salma Saleem, 15, fell from the ride at Gulliver's World in Warrington, Cheshire. Police are keen to speak to two young girls and two boys who were on the ride at the time. The teenager, from Nelson in Lancashire, suffered severe head injuries in the incident on 13 July.
Cheshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the incident. A police spokeswoman said that although many witnesses had come forward, they also wanted to trace the two pairs of children who were on the ride. The two girls and two boys were in separate carriages. All four were white, and aged between nine and 12. One of the boys had cropped blond hair and one of the girls had long dark hair.
