Lift man is model worker
Graeme Peacock

A lift worker will be the first Briton to appear on the cover of a US health magazine.

Graeme Peacock, from Aylestone in Leicester, will appear on the front of Men's Health magazine.

Until now the US publisher believed beer-swilling Britons could not measure up to their strict criteria for face, body and attitude.

But the 22-year-old martial artist who works for a company which manufactures lifts proved them wrong as he beat 5,000 other hopefuls to win a nationwide competition.

He will now spend four days in Miami for the magazine cover shoot as well as landing a modelling contract.
