Boys charged over egg attack on Queen
The Queen meets Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean
The Queen was on her way to meet Torvill and Dean
Two teenage boys have been charged after eggs were thrown at the Queen's Rolls-Royce in Nottingham.

The Queen and Prince Phillip were in the city to open the National Ice Centre and watch a gala display.

Two eggs hit the windscreen and door of the car as it pulled up to the arena in front of large crowds on Wednesday evening.

The two 17-year-olds have been charged with disorderly conduct and one has also been charged with causing obstruction.

The Queen and Prince Phillip were said to look unperturbed by the egg attack as they got out of the car.

The royal couple were greeted by Olympic ice stars Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, who choreographed a show performed on Wednesday evening.

The visit is part of the latest stage in the Golden Jubilee tour, which saw the Queen make her first visit to a British mosque in Scunthorpe, earlier on Wednesday.

On Thursday she is visiting a Sikh Temple and the National Space Centre and taking part in a walking tour in Leicester.

She and Prince Phillip are also travelling to Derby where they will watch a parade and display at Derby County Football Club's ground, Pride Park.
