Three held over plane security 'bribes'
Heathrow airport
The arrested men are security guards
Three airline security guards have been charged with allegedly accepting bribes to allow unauthorised passengers onto planes.

Scotland Yard has confirmed that three men - a security adviser and two security supervisors - will appear in court on Friday to face charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act 1906.

They are said to have accepted cash payments for allowing passengers to board Air Canada flights at Heathrow without proper documentation.

The men are: security supervisors Anthony Krieger, 38, of Wesley Avenue, Hounslow and Faiz Rehman, 28, of Milford Road, Southall and security agent Pritesh Vaja, 37 of Braimar Avenue, Wembley.

They will appear before Uxbridge Magistrates Court.

The charges relate to incidents on or before 31 July 2000 and 21 May 2001.

Heist

Their appearance comes only a day after a separate court case involving security at Heathrow Airport.

On Thursday, another Heathrow security guard and four other men appeared in court accused of helping to steal 2.5m in cash at the airport.

Sundeep Sidhu, 22, is accused of stealing and conspiring to steal the money, which was in a security van being used to transfer it from a South African Airlines plane.

The four other men, all from west London, were accused of conspiring to steal and money laundering in connection with the robbery in March.

All five, who appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Thursday, were remanded in custody.
