Legendary Liverpool comedian, Ken Dodd
Ken Dodd is acclaimed for his marathon performances
A Ken Dodd fan from Bristol has been remanded in custody after being accused of harassing the Merseyside comic's long-term partner.

Ruth Tagg, 34, is alleged to have sent a number of letters to Mr Dodd's live-in lover Anne Jones.

Ms Tagg, of Bedminster, Bristol, was arrested in Merseyside on 4 May - the day Mr Dodd was performing in New Brighton, Wirral.

She appeared before Wirral Magistrates Court on Monday accused of harassment and was remanded in custody to appear again on 10 June.

Mr Dodd, acclaimed for his marathon performances, has been in a relationship with Ms Jones for 13 years.

The couple live in Knotty Ash on Merseyside.
