Tunnel stowaways arrested
Channel Tunnel freight train
It is believed the group stowed away on a freight train
Forty-five illegal entrants have been arrested at the Channel Tunnel freight train depot in Kent.

Police intercepted the group when it arrived at the Dollands Moor depot, near Ashford just before midnight on Monday.

It is believed the group stowed away on a freight train travelling from the Frethun yard in France.

The cases are now being processed by immigration services in Dover.

A British Transport Police spokesman said the nationality of the group or gender or ages were not yet known.

He said: "We have had more in the past, but 45 is a lot I must admit."
