Police inquiry over insulin death riddle
Holiday Inn, Oldbury
Jennifer Linton's body was found on the ground floor
The body of a woman found injected with insulin has been discovered at a hotel in the Midlands.

Jennifer Linton, 31, whose family live in Hayes, Middlesex, was found by staff at the Holiday Inn on Birmingham New Road, Oldbury.

A 34-year-old man is currently under police guard at a hospital in Sandwell.

He is also believed to have been injected with insulin.

Jennifer Linton, 31 and friend
Hotel staff found Ms Linton, who had diabetes, in a ground-floor room.

Used syringes containing insulin were found next to the body.

Detective Inspector Ron Winch, of West Midlands Police, said: "I don't know for sure whether it's murder.

"The suspicion at the moment is that it could also be manslaughter, or some kind of suicide pact.

"I'm investigating it as murder at the moment though, because it is suspicious."

A post-mortem examination has been carried out by a Home Office pathologist.

It is expected to reveal insulin poisoning as the cause of death.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is under police guard at Sandwell Hospital where he is being treated for insulin poisoning.

No one else is being sought in connection with Ms Linton's death.
